My Editing Approach
I work with clients on whatever level they need me. I am available through email, text, phone call, or Zoom. As I have a full-time day job, meetings of any kind will need to be scheduled with adequate notice and I ask that my clients are flexible when it comes to meeting days/times as well as rates of response.
As for revisions, I ask that all work be sent to me through Microsoft Word as I will conduct all of my edits and revisions using its tracked changes feature. Editing timelines will be determined on a case-by-case basis and I always strive to work with my clients’ ideal production schedule to the best of my ability.
What to expect when working with me:
This is your labor of love, not mine. Therefore, my editing philosophy is that while it is my job to ensure clarity, flow, and structure throughout your work, it is not my job to change it so much that it no longer feels like your voice. My goal is always to keep the author’s voice on the forefront of the project.
